Dr A Ahmed joined the Practice in 2013, He has a vast experience in the field of medicine. His special interest is in Cardiovascular Disease.

Dr Sayyed I Shah (m)
MBBS, BSc (Hons) University College London, MRCGP
Dr Shah joined the Practice in July 2014 after several years of experience in Emergency Medicine. He is the Practice Lead in Chronic Disease Management & also has a keen interest in MSK medicine and has set up a joint injection service at the Practice. He is the practice appointed Lead for Safeguarding Adults & Children.

Miss Noshi Iqbal (f)
Noshi works as an Advance Practitioner and works closely with the GPs and practice team. She is able to see patients for a consultation, prescribe medication, request tests such as blood tests and can refer patients to specialists.

Mrs Shama Nisar (f)
Shama works at Primrose surgery with the GPs and the Practice team. Shama can see patients for a consultation, can prescribe medication, minor ailments, referring to a specialist, conduct examination and to request tests such blood tests, X-rays and Ultrasounds.

Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.

Miss Nagina Kausar (f)
Our Practice Nurse Nagina Kausar has experience in working in a hospital before working at Primrose Surgery.
Nagina will see patients for Baby immunisations, Flu, B12, Travel injections, cytology etc.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.

Mrs Claire Lord (f)
Claire is the practice health care assistant, She has achieved the Health care practitioner of the year award in 2018 and the HCA of the year award in 2019//20. Claire is also a registered British Sign Language interpreter at level 3. As a Health Care Assistants she services for patients such as Blood Pressure checks, Blood tests, NHS Health checks, Bradford Beating Diabetes assessment, flu vaccinations during the 'flu season' and B12 vaccinations when required. She also carries out ECG's, 24hr Blood pressure monitoring and Spirometry/Reversibility to support diagnosis and ongoing reviews for patients with chronic disease conditions working alongside the GPs.

Miss Fehnaz Akhtar
Fehnaz has recently joined the Practice and works alongside Claire Lord as a Health Care Assistant.

Practice Management

The practice manager is involved in managing all of the business aspects of the practice such as making sure that the right systems are in place to provide a high quality of patient care, human resources, finance, patient safety, premises and equipment and information technology. The practice manager supports the GPs and other medical professionals with delivering patient services and also helps to develop extended services to enhance patient care.

Razia Ali-Bibi
Practice Manager - Razia joined the Practice in 2012. Razia emcompasses responsibility for staff, health and safety, premises and contracting issues. Razia is also responsible for driving the strategic direction of the Practice and ensuring interim and overall Practice and individuals' objectives are met.

Secretaries

Mrs Carolyn Everson (f)
Medical Secretary - Carolyn is responsible for the administration of patient referrals and for dealing with any complaints. She also liaises with patients through the Local Improvement Scheme offering help and advice wherever she can.

Miss Hajra Ansar (f)
Hajra Supports the Medical secretary as well as Admin/reception in between her studys which the practice are supporting.

Pharmacists

Mr Raman Sharma (m)
Raman works with the GPs and the Practice team to ensure the prescribing of medicines is safe, meets the needs of our patients and is in line with local and national NHS best practice. He is also responsible for conducting medication reivews to include all patients who take repeat medications at least once a year, to improve medication taking and helping to simplify medication regimens that are taken by patients.

Health Visitors

A health visitor is a registered nurse who has received training particularly related to babies, children and pregnant women. Their role is to provide families with children under five years old with support and advice around the general aspects of mental, physical and social wellbeing.
