Nurses

Practice nurses are qualified and registered nurses. They can help with health issues such as family planning, healthy living advice, blood pressure checks and dressings. The practice nurses run clinics for long-term health conditions such as asthma or diabetes, minor ailment clinics and carry out cervical smears.
Barbara Sanderson (f)

Barbara is our Practice Nurse who works at the Practice and administers  vaccines, travel vaccines, and also takes charge of the baby clinics.  She also performs smear tests.

Miss Nagina Kausar (f)

Our Practice Nurse Nagina Kausar has experience in working in a hospital before working at Primrose Surgery.

She is working alongside Barbara Sanderson as a Practice Nurse.

Nagina will see patients for Baby immunisations, Flu, B12, Travel injections, cytology etc.

Healthcare Assistants

Healthcare assistants support practice nurses with their daily work and carry out tasks such as phlebotomy (drawing blood), blood pressure measurement and new patient checks. They may act as a chaperone when a patient or doctor requests one.
Mrs Claire Lord (f)

Claire is the practice health care assistant, She has achieved the Health care practitioner of the year award in 2018 and the HCA of the year award in 2019//20. Claire is also a registered British Sign Language interpreter at level 3. As a Health Care Assistants she services for patients such as Blood Pressure checks, Blood tests, NHS Health checks, Bradford Beating Diabetes assessment, flu vaccinations during the 'flu season' and B12 vaccinations when required.  She also carries out ECG's, 24hr Blood pressure monitoring and Spirometry/Reversibility to support diagnosis and ongoing reviews for patients with chronic disease conditions working alongside the GP's.

Miss Fehnaz Akhtar

Fehnaz has recently joined the Practice and works alongside Claire Lord as a Health Care Assistant.
